Dr. Jessica Parker, LAC, DAOM
Dr. Jessica Parker, LAC, DAOM has a diverse background including a broad range of experience in the healing arts, Chinese language and expertise in acupuncture and Asian medicine. She is the owner of Root & Stem Integrative Chinese Medicine with two locations located in Northern California, and the Executive Director of the East Bay Integrative Pregnancy Project. Within the past year, Dr. Parker has taken on a new role as educator with a series of CEU/PDA courses “Functional Medicine for your Acupuncture Practice” and draws on her years of hands-on experience and ongoing research in the field. She is excited to share her insights and practical strategies with fellow practitioners, empowering them to optimize patient care using the transformative power of blending lab work with their acupuncture practices.
Jessica specializes in Women’s Health, Prenatal Health, Liver Health and Detoxification, Integrative Wellness during Chemotherapy and Radiation, and Pain Management. She strongly believes in integrative health care, providing a supportive community for wellness, and the synergistic relationship of all modalities of medicine.
Jessica has been voted as one of Oakland's Best Acupuncturists, and she graduated with a Masters of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA. During the course of her studies, she spent three years as an intern at Cedar Street Healing Arts Clinic in downtown Santa Cruz, CA. Jessica also completed an advanced internship program at the Zhejiang Medical Hospital in Hangzhou, China specializing in Dermatology, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Orthopedics. She completed her Doctorate Fellowship at Five Branches University and is a pioneer as one of the first acupuncture residents at Highland Hospital in Oakland.
