Dr. Joseph Weissbuch, LAC
Dr. Joseph Kie Weissbuch, holds a Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley. He completed his thesis on the pathology and treatment of Long Covid Syndrome in 2023, and continues his studies of herbal medicine and Shen Hammer pulse diagnosis. His practice focuses on treating chronic inflammatory illnesses, sports injury and orthopedic conditions, and promoting general wellbeing.
Stress and anxiety are central factors of illness in our fast-paced, results-oriented society. Chronic stress leads to nervous system activation, which causes inflammation, and inflammation leads to physical and mental dis-ease. Joseph’s practice provides a safe space to relax and decompress, blending traditional forms of Chinese diagnostic techniques with gentle, direct palpation to get both an objective and intuitive diagnosis of his patients. He utilizes needling and dry needling, electroacupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and herbal medicine. He also has 10 years of experience practicing acupressure, tui na, deep tissue, and Swedish massage.
Joseph continues his studies of pulse diagnosis with Brian La Forgia, L.Ac. and Brandt Stickley, L.Ac., and herbal medicine with his father, Brian Kie Weissbuch, L.Ac. In addition to Chinese medicine, he enjoys practicing martial arts, singing, solving puzzles, and playing baseball.
