Exciting News: New Integrative Medicine Program in Development
I'm thrilled to announce that I will be developing, designing, and creating a comprehensive add-on integrative medicine program for ACCHS Doctor of Acupuncture with Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (DAcCHM) and Bridge program participants.
Program Overview
This innovative program will enhance our existing DAcCHM and Bridge program curricula by incorporating evidence-based integrative medicine approaches that complement traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture practices. The program is designed to provide students and practitioners with:
Holistic Treatment Approaches: Understanding how to integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and complementary therapies
Patient-Centered Care: Developing skills to address the whole person using both Eastern and Western perspectives
Evidence-Based Practice: Learning to evaluate and implement integrative therapies based on current research and traditional wisdom
Clinical Application: Practical training in integrative medicine techniques that enhance acupuncture and herbal medicine practice
What This Means for Our Community
This program represents a significant step forward in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture education, preparing healthcare professionals to meet the growing demand for integrative care approaches. DAcCHM and Bridge program participants will gain valuable skills that enhance their ability to provide comprehensive, patient-centered treatment that bridges Eastern and Western medicine.
